Geometry: The development of spatial reasoning in the NumberSense Mathematics Programme
This workshop explored:
- The NumberSense activities which address measurement, geometry and data handling in the NumberSense Workbooks.
- The age and grade appropriate developmental trajectory for spatial reasoning (space and shape/geometry), based on Van Hiele’s levels of geometric thinking, used in the NumberSense Workbooks from Grade R to Grade 7.
