World Record: Largest Menger Sponge

On the 10 May 2019, the NumberSense team worked with 15 university students and 45 primary school students to build a World Record-setting Level 3 Menger Sponge.

It was achieved! On the 10 May 2019, the NumberSense team worked with 15 university students and 45 primary school students to build a World Record-setting Level 3 Menger Sponge.

18 048 GeoGenius squares were joined with 36 096 rubber bands to create a Level 3 Menger Sponge measuring 1.9 m x 1.9 m x 1.9 m
